THE CSI SAFES’ PROGRAM

The CSI Safes’ Program is designed to add value to the lives of students, while also providing colleges and universities a non-traditional revenue stream. We see this as a win-win.
Universities can choose to implement the program as a mandatory one for students, or an optional one.
Every dorm room is outfitted with a safe per student. If students choose to opt-in, they’ll be billed on their housing statements.

HOW IT WORKS

Once a university or college decides that they’d like to enter into the CSI Safes’ Program:
  • 1. CSI Safes’ representatives will install safes in the university residential hall rooms and program each safe for rental use. Historically, safe installation occurs the summer before the new school year starts.
  • 2. When students sign up for their dorms, the responsible party signing off on the housing form agrees to the rental fee (or opts-out if the university chooses to make this an option).
  • 3. The university collects the rental fee as part of the housing fee.
  • 4.The university retains an administrative fee.
  • 5. The university provides CSI Safes with the email addresses of the students renting safes.
  • 6. CSI Safes sends safe registration information via email to all students who have rented a safe.
  • 7. Once students arrive in their room, they go online to register their safe with the information provided in the email they received.
  • 8. The safe is now activated and ready for use.
  • 9. CSI Safes maintains a 24-hour customer service call center to assist students with their safes.
